What type of adjustments does the chiropractor do? Are they safe?
Dr. Surbaugh utilizes multiple techniques to tailor treatment plans to each individual patient in the practice. No two people are the same, so treatment plans need to vary as well. Diversified, Gonstead, Pettibon, and Activator techniques are used to treat patients in our office. All are safe to use.
Why should I see a chiropractor?
People get regular checkups for their teeth and eyes. They also go to their family doctors for regular checks on blood pressure, blood sugar, lungs, prostate, colon, and other organs. But most people take their spine and muscular systems for granted. These are just as vital to your health which makes regular chiropractic appointments important.
What can I expect from my first visit to Advantage Chiropractic?
As a licensed practitioner, the chiropractor will do the following:
- A thorough review of your specific problem, a review of your health history and overall health
- A physical exam that detects the presence of misalignments of the spine (subluxations)
- If needed, specific x-rays may be used to confirm the history and exam findings and identify spinal alignment issues
What is the goal of chiropractic care?
The main goal of chiropractic care is to manipulate the body’s alignment to relive pain, improve function, and help the body heal itself. In addition to spinal care, we help people with other musculoskeletal-related pains. Also, we aim to advise on ways to change your posture, biomechanics, and other treatments to better manage your conditions.
Do you take my insurance?
Due to the number of insurance companies and the number of plans within each company, we ask that you bring a copy of your insurance card with you so that we can help determine your available benefits in our office.
